Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo and Nile dinner cruise
A King Tut Tours representative meets you at your arrival gate, helps with passport control and luggage, and drives you to your 5-star hotel. In the evening you board a Nile dinner cruise with a buffet, a folk band, a belly dance show and the whirling Tanoura dance.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara
Your private guide takes you to the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, then to the Grand Egyptian Museum. After lunch you drive to Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, surrounded by the first great stone temple complex ever built.

Day 3: Day trip to Alexandria
You drive to Alexandria and start at the Qaitbay Citadel, built in 1477 with stones from the fallen Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then the Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, and after lunch the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, with its museums and galleries. You return to Cairo in the evening.

Day 4: Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo and the Royal Mummies
You visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, then after lunch the Hanging Church, built in the 5th century on the gate of the Roman fortress of Babylon and once the seat of the Coptic patriarch, and the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, the first mosque built in Africa. You end at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and its Royal Mummies Hall, and Khan el-Khalili.

Day 5: The Citadel and the mosques of Islamic Cairo
You drive up to the Citadel of Salah el-Din, built between 1176 and 1183 on the highest point in Cairo, and the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali with its view over the city. Below the Citadel you visit the Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, a Mamluk masterpiece from the 1350s, and the Al-Rifai Mosque opposite, resting place of Egypt’s last kings.

Day 6: Fly home
After breakfast our representative takes you to Cairo International Airport and helps with check-in and departure.

How much does the 6-day Cairo and Alexandria tour cost?
It depends on group size: $4,500 per person for a solo traveler, $3,500 each for 2 to 3, $3,200 for 4 to 8, $2,900 for 9 to 15 and $1,500 for 16 or more.

Do we change hotels?
No. You stay in the same 5-star hotel in Cairo for all five nights, including after the Alexandria day trip.
Can I add Luxor?
Yes. A one-day or overnight trip to Luxor by air can replace one of the Cairo days.
