Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Luxor, Karnak and Luxor Temple, board the cruise
Our representative meets you at Luxor Airport, the train station or the bus station. With your Egyptologist you visit Karnak, the temple of Amun, Mut and Khonsu, built between about 2055 BC and the Roman period and still the largest religious complex ever made, and Luxor Temple. Then you board your 5-star Nile cruise.
Meals: Lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Luxor.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank
Start with an optional sunrise hot air balloon flight, or a relaxed breakfast on board. Then you explore the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise.
Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Day 4: Free day in Aswan, optional Abu Simbel and Nubian village
A free day in Aswan. You can join an optional early trip to Abu Simbel by private air-conditioned van with an Egyptologist, and in the afternoon an optional boat trip to a Nubian village.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Aswan.
Day 5: The High Dam and Philae, disembark in Aswan
After breakfast you check out and visit the High Dam, begun in 1960 to end the Nile flood, then ride a motorboat to Agilkia Island for Philae Temple, the Greco-Roman temple of Isis. We then take you to your hotel, the airport or the station in Aswan.

How much does the 4-night Nile cruise from Luxor cost?
It depends on group size: $1,450 per person for a solo traveler, $1,150 each for two, $1,000 for 3 to 4, $950 for 5 to 8 and $800 for 9 to 15.
What are the optional extras?
The sunrise hot air balloon in Luxor on day 2, and Abu Simbel and a Nubian village in Aswan on day 4. You can book them with us in advance or on the trip.
How do I get to Luxor to start the cruise?
By a one-hour flight from Cairo, or the overnight sleeper train. We meet you at the airport or the station.
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals on board are included from lunch on day 1 to breakfast on day 5. Drinks are extra.
How long is a Nile cruise?
Usually four nights from Luxor or three nights from Aswan. Dahabiyas take four to five nights.
