Itinerary
Day 1: Aswan: High Dam and Philae, board the cruise
Your Egyptologist meets you with a private car and takes you to the High Dam, begun in 1960 to end the Nile flood, and by motorboat to Philae Temple. You then go straight to the ship, so you are not left waiting in the lobby for check-in.
Meals: Lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Aswan.
Day 2: Optional Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo and Edfu
You can start very early with an optional trip to Abu Simbel, about 9 to 10 hours in total. After breakfast the ship sails to Kom Ombo, where your guide shows you the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, and then to Edfu. In the evening there is a folklore show on board.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise.
Day 3: Optional balloon flight and the Luxor West Bank
Start with an optional sunrise balloon flight over Luxor. Your Egyptologist then takes you to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The afternoon is free.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Luxor.
Day 4: Karnak and Luxor Temple, disembark
After an early check-out you visit Karnak and Luxor Temple. A private van then takes you anywhere in Luxor.
