your Shore Excursion to Giza Pyramids and Sakkara From Alexandria Port start with meeting  Your English-speaking Egyptologist guide who will pick you up at the port of Alexandria. After that, you will travel to Cairo, which is roughly three hours’ drive from Alexandria,

to see the Giza pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx, the only two of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still intact. You can decide how much time you will spend at each location you visit with the help of your personal Egyptologist guide.

First, each of the three pyramids Cheops, Khafre, and Mankaure will be fascinatingly introduced by your Egyptologist guide. During your spare time, you can visit one of the pyramids.

Following your visit to the pyramids, you will traverse the plateau to take pictures of the three pyramids rising out of the sand against the backdrop of the Cairo skyline.

You can stand at the feet of the Sphinx, Egypt’s mysterious emblem for thousands of years, after a quick trip to the city side of the plateau! The exceptionally well-preserved burial boat of Khufu can be found at the Solar Boat Museum in Giza,

which you can visit for an extra fee. After that, you will travel to Sakkara, the oldest ancient Egyptian city.

graveyard. There, you will see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the first known colossal stone structure created by the engineer Imhotep. You will have a tour of one of Ptah Hotep, Idut,

or Mereruca’s spectacular Mastabas (burial chambers). Following your sightseeing trip, you will visit a Papyrus Institute to discover how papyrus paper is manufactured and, if you’d like,

buy an authentic item. You will be driven back to your cruise ship in Alexandria Port once your tour is over. The excursion lasts between eleven and twelve hours.
