Back on board on time
We meet you at the cruise terminal exit and track your ship’s schedule. The drive from Alexandria to Cairo is about three hours each way, so we plan the day around your all-aboard time and leave a safe margin. If the road is unusually slow, your guide shortens the program rather than risk the ship.
Itinerary
Giza and Saqqara from Alexandria port
Your Egyptologist meets you at the cruise terminal and drives you to Cairo. At Saqqara you see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, built by Imhotep in the 27th century BC, the first large stone building in the world. After lunch you visit the Giza Plateau, with the Great Pyramid, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and the Sphinx, then return to Alexandria.
Duration: about 11 to 12 hours. Meals: Lunch.
