Five budget-friendly days that take you from the pyramids of Giza to the temples of Abu Simbel. You fly to Aswan, spend a relaxed day at the High Dam, Philae and the market, and travel to Abu Simbel before flying back to Cairo, with a private Egyptologist the whole way.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo and Nile dinner cruise
A King Tut Tours representative meets you at Cairo International Airport with a name sign, helps with customs and luggage, and drives you to your hotel. In the evening you join a Nile dinner cruise with an open buffet, a Tanoura whirling dance and a belly dance show, with the lights of Cairo along the river.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, fly to Aswan
Your private Egyptologist takes you to the Giza Plateau: the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure from the 4th Dynasty, six smaller queens’ pyramids, the Sphinx with the face of Khafre, and the granite Valley Temple. After lunch you visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. In the evening you fly to Aswan.

Day 3: Aswan: the High Dam and Philae
Your guide shows you the High Dam, built in the 1960s to control the Nile flood, and takes you by boat to Philae Temple, the temple of Isis rescued by UNESCO and rebuilt on Agilkia Island. Lunch is at a restaurant overlooking the Nile, and the evening is free to explore the Aswan market.

Day 4: Abu Simbel, fly to Cairo
With a breakfast box from the hotel, you set off early with your guide by private car to Abu Simbel, the two temples Ramses II carved into the mountain in the 13th century BC for himself and his queen Nefertari. The whole complex was moved to higher ground in the 1960s in one of UNESCO’s greatest rescue projects. You return to Aswan for lunch and fly back to Cairo.

Day 5: Fly home
After breakfast our representative drives you to Cairo International Airport and helps with check-in.
