Itinerary
Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx
Your Egyptologist and driver collect you from the airport or your hotel and take you to the Giza Plateau: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, 147 meters high when built and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the panorama point for photos, the Sphinx and the granite Valley Temple beside it. Lunch is at a restaurant with a view of the pyramids or the Nile.
The Grand Egyptian Museum
In the afternoon you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, 2 km from the pyramids, where the complete Tutankhamun collection is shown together for the first time, along with the colossal statue of Ramses II in the atrium. We then drive you to your hotel or back to the airport.
Duration: about 7 to 8 hours. Meals: Lunch.

How much is the private Pyramids and GEM tour?
It depends on group size: $400 (1 person), $350 (2 people), $330 (3 to 4 people), $300 (5 to 8 people), $285 (9 to 15 people), $250 (16 to 35 people) per person.
Can I do this tour on a layover?
Yes, if you have at least 9 to 10 hours between flights and your passport allows entry. We collect you at arrivals and bring you back in time for your next flight.
Can I go inside a pyramid?
Yes, with an extra ticket bought on site. Your guide will explain the options.
Is the guide private?
Yes. Your Egyptologist, driver and car are private for the whole day.
Is one day enough for Cairo?
One day covers the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Two or three days lets you add Saqqara, Old Cairo and Islamic Cairo.
