A half-day tour of Luxor’s East Bank, the “City of the Living” of ancient Thebes, for the two greatest temples in the city: Karnak and Luxor Temple. Perfect for a morning before your cruise sails or after a balloon flight.

Itinerary
Half-day tour of Karnak and Luxor Temple
At 8:00 AM we pick you up from your hotel or Nile cruise. Your Egyptologist spends about three hours with you at Karnak, the temple of Amun, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, through its pylons, obelisks and the forest of columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall. You then visit Luxor Temple, begun by Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and finished by Ramses II, where Alexander the Great later claimed to have been crowned. After lunch we drive you back.

How much does the Karnak and Luxor Temple tour cost?
It depends on group size: $100 (1 person), $80 (2 people), $70 (3 to 4 people), $65 (5 to 8 people), $40 (9 to 35 people) per person.
Can we see Luxor Temple at night?
Yes. Luxor Temple is open in the evening and beautifully lit. We can schedule that part of the tour after sunset.
How long should I spend at Karnak?
About three hours is enough to see the main halls, the obelisks and the sacred lake with a guide.
Is the tour private?
Yes. Your guide and car are private.
How many days do I need in Luxor?
Two full days covers both banks. Three or four days lets you add a balloon flight and day trips.
