Six days that capture the essence of Egypt: the pyramids and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and two unhurried days in Luxor, with a night in a 5-star hotel on each side of the trip. Flights between Cairo and Luxor keep travel time short.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo and Nile dinner cruise
A King Tut Tours representative meets you at your arrival gate, helps with passport control and luggage, and drives you to your 5-star hotel. In the evening you board a Nile dinner cruise with a buffet, a folk band, a belly dance show and the whirling Tanoura dance.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum
Your private Egyptologist takes you to the Giza Plateau for the three great pyramids, the six queens’ pyramids, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. After lunch you visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, open since 1902.

Day 3: Fly to Luxor, the West Bank
A morning flight takes you to Luxor. Your guide takes you to the Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs such as Ramses the Great and Tutankhamun were buried, the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut, built in the 15th century BC, and the 18-meter Colossi of Memnon. You end with a boat ride on the Nile.

Day 4: Karnak and Luxor Temple
You spend the morning at Karnak, the heart of ancient Egyptian religion for 1,500 years, with its Great Hypostyle Hall of 134 columns, and Luxor Temple. After lunch the afternoon is free for the market or the pool.

Day 5: Fly to Cairo and Khan el-Khalili
After breakfast you fly back to Cairo from Luxor. Your guide then takes you into Islamic Cairo for an afternoon in Khan el-Khalili, the 14th-century bazaar, for spices, lanterns, silver and souvenirs, with lunch at a good restaurant nearby.

Day 6: Fly home
After breakfast our representative takes you to Cairo International Airport and helps with check-in and departure.

How much does the 6-day Cairo and Luxor tour cost?
It depends on group size: $4,600 per person for a solo traveler, $4,000 each for 2 to 3, $3,800 for 4 to 8, $3,500 for 9 to 15 and $2,000 for 16 or more.
Why two nights in Luxor?
Luxor has more ancient monuments than anywhere else in Egypt. Two nights let you see both banks without rushing, and leave time for a balloon flight if you want one.
Can I add a hot air balloon ride?
Yes, at sunrise on day 4. Ask us when you book.
Can I see the Grand Egyptian Museum instead of the Egyptian Museum?
Yes. We can swap them, or add the GEM, on request.
