Tour Description
The classic first trip to Egypt: two days in Cairo for the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then four nights on a 5-star Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, and a flight back to Cairo. Cairo sightseeing is private; on the cruise you explore with the ship’s Egyptologist.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
Your tour manager and driver meet you at Cairo International Airport and take you to your 5-star hotel. They go through the itinerary with you and answer any questions, and the rest of the day is free.
Overnight: 5-star hotel, Cairo.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum
Your guide takes you to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After lunch nearby you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, 2 km from the pyramids.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch. Overnight: 5-star hotel, Cairo.
Day 3: Fly to Luxor, board the cruise, Karnak and Luxor Temple
A morning flight takes you to Luxor, where you board your 5-star Nile cruise for the next four nights. After lunch you visit Karnak, a city of temples built over some 2,000 years, and Luxor Temple.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Luxor.
Day 4: Luxor West Bank and sailing to Edfu
Start with an optional sunrise balloon flight. After breakfast you visit the Valley of the Kings, including the tomb of Tutankhamun, the rock-cut Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch the ship sails to Edfu.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Edfu.
Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Day 6: Aswan and Philae
You visit Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis and Hathor and moved to Agilkia Island after the High Dam was built. The afternoon is free.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Overnight: Nile cruise, Aswan.
Day 7: Optional Abu Simbel, fly to Cairo
After breakfast you leave the ship. You can add an optional trip to Abu Simbel, the rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, before your flight to Cairo. We meet you at Cairo Airport and take you to your hotel.
Meals: Breakfast. Overnight: 5-star hotel, Cairo.
Day 8: Fly home
After breakfast your guide helps you check out and takes you to the airport for your flight home.
