Philae temple

philae temple

Once located on a small island, this ancient temple honored the goddesses Isis and Hathor. However, after the High Dam was finished and Lake Nasser’s water level began to rise, the entire temple was moved to keep it from being lost forever. This is unquestionably one of the top historical sites in the nation, and you won’t soon forget your visit.

You will then proceed to view the Aswan High Dam and the significance of the High Dam Project.

Aswan High Dam

Since ancient times, the Egyptians have recognized the significance of the Nile. To manage the fluctuating river flow, annual storage projects like the Aswan and Jebel Awliya reservoirs were constructed, and barrages were constructed on the Nile to arrange irrigation on the different rivers.

Nevertheless, the yearly storage was just a partial solution for managing the Nile.

After visiting these two sites, you will return to the vessel, and then it will soon be time for another mouthwatering lunch, after which you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to do as you wish. Enjoy a good dinner in the evening, and one last night sleeping in your cabin.
