You will then proceed to view the Aswan High Dam and the significance of the High Dam Project.

Aswan High Dam
Since ancient times, the Egyptians have recognized the significance of the Nile. To manage the fluctuating river flow, annual storage projects like the Aswan and Jebel Awliya reservoirs were constructed, and barrages were constructed on the Nile to arrange irrigation on the different rivers.

Nevertheless, the yearly storage was just a partial solution for managing the Nile. On the third night of your Cairo to Abu Simbel Tour package, your driver and guide will transport you to your hotel.

Breakfast is included in the meals.

After enjoying a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, it will be time to check out. Your guide will greet you at the hour that has been agreed upon, and you will board a contemporary air bus that will transport you to the indescribable

Abu Simbel Temples, one of Egypt’s most notorious historical sites.

In addition to showcasing Pharaoh Ramses II’s immense authority throughout his rule, these two enormous rock-cut temples were constructed as enduring reminders of him and his wife, Queen Nefertari.

Abu Simbel temples

These two temples were consecrated by Pharaoh Ramses to four universal gods: himself, Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, and Amun-Re. The fact that Pharaoh Ramses named his temple the Sun Temple of Ramses II and his wife’s temple the Temple of Hathor,

the sun god, is another fascinating aspect of these two temples. In a symbolic sense, this meant that the two temples would unite him, his spouse, and the sun deity.

It’s interesting to note that after the Aswan High Dam was built, both of these enormous temples were moved to their present site to avoid being permanently destroyed by Lake Nasser’s increasing waters.

They are now one of Egypt’s most treasured archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your tour coach will return to Aswan after your visit to the Abu Simbel Temples, and you will be picked up to embark on your Nile cruise. You will have your first satisfying meal on board shortly after boarding, after which you will have the rest of the day to yourself. You will spend this evening on your Cairo to Abu Simbel Tour in your Aswan waterfront cabin.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the fifth day of your Cairo to Abu Simbel Tour, unwind while your five-star cruise ship sets sail for Kom Ombo. Our tour guide,

who travels with the ship, will take you to the amazing Kom Ombo Temple, which was built in honor of two distinct gods. The crocodile god Sobek was honored in one side, and Horus, a human with a falcon’s head, was honored in the other.

After that, a satisfying lunch will be given while the ship sets sail for Edfu. Your tour guide will take you and the other members of your group to the Edfu Temple, also called the Horus Temple,

once you arrive at Edfu. Because it was buried beneath the sand for about 2,000 years, this ancient temple in Egypt is the finest preserved.

The ship will then set sail for Esna after you have returned to it. Savor afternoon tea while traveling, and in the evening, have another great meal on board the ship. You will spend this evening on the water at Esna as part of your tour from Cairo to Abu Simbel.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Sail slowly in the direction of Luxor after waking up on the water and enjoying a leisurely meal. After arriving in Luxor, you and the other members of your company will be given a tour of the Luxor West Bank,

where you will see three amazing locations: the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, and the funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Hatshepsut

Over 65 tombs have been found in the Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal burial area. Among them is the tomb of King Tutankhamen, which Howard Carter found intact and still sealed in the early 20th century. Along with his mummy,

almost all of the valuables and artifacts found in his tomb are on exhibit at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The cost of our 8-Day Cairo to Abu Simbel Tour w/ Nile Cruise does not include an admission ticket to his tomb. This is because those who want to visit his grave must buy their own tickets there. Additionally, only a specific number of guests are permitted each day.

After your West Bank excursion, your tour guide will accompany you back to the cruise ship and the remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy as you wish.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

It will be time to check out and disembark after one final breakfast on the cruise ship. Following your disembarkation, you will be escorted to two more breathtaking ancient ruins on the East Bank of Luxor.

Karnak Temple will be your first stop, followed by Luxor Temple. Over the course of more than 2,000 years, Karnak Temple evolved into a massive complex of temples and other connected buildings.

There is a lot to see at what is thought to be the largest house of worship ever found, even if there are just ruins left.
