Itinerary
Aswan half-day tour: High Dam and Philae
At 8:00 AM your Egyptologist collects you and drives you to the High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970 a few kilometers upstream from the older British dam of 1902. It ended the yearly flood, doubled Egypt’s farmland and created Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. A short boat ride then takes you to Philae, where you explore the temple of Isis, whose cult spread across the Roman Empire. The temple was moved stone by stone to Agilkia Island in the 1970s. We drop you back at around 2:00 PM.

Can I add the Unfinished Obelisk?
Yes. It is close to the High Dam and adds about 45 minutes.
