Three days of Cairo and three days on the Red Sea: a short, well-balanced Egypt holiday for travelers who want to see the pyramids and the treasures of Tutankhamun, then swap temples for coral reefs and desert dunes. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
Our representative meets you at Cairo Airport, helps you through passport control and with your luggage, and drives you to your 5-star hotel in a private air-conditioned car.
Overnight: 5-star hotel, Cairo.
Day 2: The Giza Pyramids
After breakfast your private guide takes you to the Giza Pyramids: three great pyramids, six smaller queens’ pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. The Great Pyramid of Khufu was built around 2560 BC and stood about 147 meters high, the tallest structure on earth for nearly 4,000 years.

Day 3: Grand Egyptian Museum and the Citadel, fly to Hurghada
After breakfast and check-out, you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection and thousands of other objects in gold, stone and wood. After lunch at a local restaurant you drive up to the Citadel of Salah el-Din, completed in 1183, and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque, with its view over the city. In the evening you fly to Hurghada.

Day 4: Quad bike desert safari
After breakfast your guide takes you into the desert behind Hurghada by quad bike, across open sand and rocky valleys. The rest of the day is free at the resort.

Day 5: Snorkeling in the Red Sea
A boat takes you out to the reefs off Hurghada with an instructor, for snorkeling among corals and tropical fish in some of the clearest water in the world. Lunch is usually served on board.

Day 6: Free morning and fly to Cairo
A last morning on the beach. After check-out you take an evening flight back to Cairo and are driven to your hotel.

After breakfast you are driven to Cairo Airport for your flight home.

FAQs
How much is the 7-day Cairo and Hurghada holiday?
From $6,000 per person sharing a double room from May to September, and $8,000 per person from October to April. Single travelers pay $8,000 in summer and $10,000 in winter. Flights between Cairo and Hurghada are included.
Can I stay in El Gouna or Sahl Hasheesh instead of Hurghada?
Yes. Both are quieter, more upscale resort areas within 30 minutes of Hurghada airport. Tell us your preference and we will quote the resort you choose.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer for the snorkeling trip?
No. Life jackets and fins are provided, and the instructor stays with you in the water. Non-swimmers can stay on deck or try snorkeling from the boat ladder.
Can I add Luxor to this trip?
Yes. Luxor is about four hours by road from Hurghada, so it is easy to add a private day trip or an overnight stay to see Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.
What is included in a luxury tour?
