Seven days covering three of Egypt’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Memphis and its Necropolis, Historic Cairo, and Ancient Thebes in Luxor. You start with the sound and light show at the pyramids and spend two nights in Luxor.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo and the Pyramids Sound and Light Show
A King Tut Tours representative meets you inside the airport and takes you to your 5-star hotel. In the evening you watch the Sound and Light Show at the pyramids, as the Sphinx tells the story of the pharaohs, followed by dinner at a good restaurant.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum
Your Egyptologist takes you to the Giza Plateau, part of the UNESCO site of Memphis and its Necropolis: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Sphinx. After lunch with a pyramid view, you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum and its complete Tutankhamun galleries.

Day 3: Saqqara and Dahshur, the birth of the pyramid
A day following how the pyramid was invented. At Saqqara you see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, designed by Imhotep, the first pyramid of all. At Dahshur you visit the two pyramids of King Sneferu: the Bent Pyramid, where the builders changed angle halfway up, and the Red Pyramid, the first true smooth-sided pyramid, which you can enter. Lunch is at a country restaurant on the way.

Day 4: Fly to Luxor, the West Bank
A morning flight takes you to Luxor, part of the UNESCO site of Ancient Thebes. You visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch. Overnight: 5-star hotel, Luxor.
Day 5: Karnak and Luxor Temple
You spend the morning at Karnak and visit Luxor Temple later in the day, when the light is softer. The rest of the time is free.

Day 6: Fly to Cairo, the Citadel and Khan el-Khalili
You return to Cairo in the morning. Your guide takes you to the Citadel of Salah el-Din and the Alabaster Mosque, part of the UNESCO-listed Historic Cairo, and after lunch to Khan el-Khalili.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch. Overnight: 5-star hotel, Cairo.
Day 7: Fly home
After breakfast your driver takes you to Cairo International Airport and our representative helps with check-in.
