Itinerary
Abu Simbel day trip from Cairo by plane
We collect you from your Cairo hotel for the morning flight to Abu Simbel, usually via Aswan. Your private guide meets you and drives you to Abu Simbel. Ramses II had the two temples cut into the cliffs around 1250 BC: the Great Temple, with four seated colossi about 20 meters high, and the smaller temple of Queen Nefertari and Hathor. Both were moved 65 meters higher in the 1960s to save them from Lake Nasser. After your visit you fly back to Cairo and we drive you to your hotel.

Are the flights direct?
Most flights stop in Aswan on the way. Schedules change, so we confirm the timing when you book.
