Budget day tour: Giza Pyramids and the GEM
Your Egyptologist and driver pick you up wherever you are staying in Cairo and take you to the Giza Plateau: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, 147 meters high when built and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the panorama point for photos, the Sphinx and the granite Valley Temple beside it. You then visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, 2 km from the pyramids, where the complete Tutankhamun collection is shown together for the first time, along with the colossal statue of Ramses II in the atrium, with a break for lunch at your own expense, before returning to your hotel.
